Material elements of packaging

Material elements are basic materials (paper, plastics, glass, metal, ceramic, bamboo, leather and other composite materials, etc.) and auxiliary materials (adhesives, coatings, ink, etc.). Is the material basis for the implementation of the three main functions of packaging (protection, convenience and marketing) and is directly related to the overall function and economic cost of packaging, methods of production and processing, processing and reprocessing of packaging waste and other problems.
The choice of material for green packaging design shall conform to the following principles:
1. Light, thin, easily separable, highly efficient packaging materials;
2. Recyclable and renewable packaging materials;
3. Edible packaging materials;
4. Biodegradable packaging materials;
5. Natural ecological energy packaging materials developed with the use of natural resources;
6. Try to use paper packaging;
7. Try to use the same material for packaging;
8. Try to make the packaging reusable, not just the packaging materials suitable for recycling. (for example, standardized pallets can be used dozens or even thousands of times)
